Nylon monofilament, also known as nylon monofilament

发布时间:2024-05-29

Nylon monofilament, also known as nylon monofilament or polyamide monofilament, is a synthetic fiber filament formed by condensation reaction and melt spinning of adipic acid and adipic acid or caprolactam.

Chinese name: Nylon Monofilament

Foreign name: Nylon

Nickname: Nylon Monofilament or Polyamide Monofilament

Raw materials: Adipic acid and adipic diamine or caprolactam

Application: Elastic silk

Inventor: Rothschild and a research group led by him

Polyamide fiber, commonly known as Nylon and also known as Polyamide (PA) in English, was developed by outstanding American scientist Carothers and a research team led by him. It is the first synthetic fiber to appear in the world. The emergence of nylon has brought a new look to textiles, and its synthesis is a major breakthrough in the synthetic fiber industry, as well as an important milestone in polymer chemistry.

Nylon silk can be made into elastic silk, which has good strength and wear resistance, ranking first among all fibers. A fabric obtained by blending or interweaving nylon filaments or short fibers with other fibers, combining the characteristics and strengths of each fiber. In civilian use, various medical and knitted products can be blended or pure spun. Various wear-resistant nylon socks such as woven single stockings and elastic stockings, nylon gauze, mosquito nets, nylon lace, elastic nylon outerwear, various nylon silk or interwoven silk products. Nylon short fibers are mostly used to blend with wool or other chemical fibers in woolen products, making various wear-resistant and durable clothing materials. Nylon silk is widely used in industries such as weaving belts, curtain lines, fishing lines, filters, sewing threads, industrial fabrics, cables, conveyor belts, tents, fishing nets, craft accessories, and hair coils. Mainly used as parachutes and other military fabrics in national defense. As a machine woven or knitted material, nylon filament is widely used. However, due to its poor sun and light resistance, nylon filament is not suitable as a material for use under sunlight conditions.
